Miroslaw Skibniewski, Ph.D.

Miroslaw J. Skibniewski is a Professor of Construction Engineering and Project Management at the University of Maryland. He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering Planning and Management in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and has previously served on the Civil Engineering faculty at Purdue University for 20 years. Prof. Skibniewski's past research has focused on feasibility of automation and information technologies for planning, design and construction of buildings and other structures. His current research interests also include sustainable practices for built infrastructure construction and renewal, including post-disaster mitigation activities and project management. Prof. Skibniewski serves as Editor-in-Chief of Automation in Construction, an international research journal published by Elsevier, and as North American Editor of the Journal of Civil Engineering and Management published by Taylor & Francis.
